Inclusive beauty
As a child, I was bullied by other girls in school because my skin was darker, making me feel that beauty was tied to being fair-skinned. This experience deeply affected my confidence, reflecting a broader issue that many African women face.
For generations, the pressures of colonization and western media have distorted the perception of beauty for African women, encouraging the belief that lighter skin and western features are the standard to aspire to. The beauty industry has capitalized on this, promoting skin-lightening products as a quick fix for "improvement" without concern for the long-term physical and emotional harm they cause.
At our skincare brand, we are determined to change this mindset. We focus on creating products that are made from 100% natural, naturally derived and organic ingredients free from harsh of synthetic chemicals, while ensuring that our marketing actively promotes the beauty of all skin tones. We aim to redefine what beauty means, celebrating diversity and rejecting the notion that only certain shades or skin tones are beautiful. Through our efforts, we hope to build a future where everyone feels proud and confident in their natural skin regardless of the skin color or body features.
