All our products are natural and from natural or naturally derived ingredients. Whilst the majority of our ingredients are organic, we’re still working to find organic alternatives to some of our botanicals. Organic ingredients are marked with a ** or + in our ingredient lists.

Many of our products include essential oils, which can be unsafe during pregnancy or when breastfeeding. However, our Truth Body Butter, Authentic African Black soap, Makeda Glow pot and Truth Bar Soap are all free from essential oils and can be used whilst pregnant or breastfeeding.

You can try our products at any of our pop-ups in various locations at different times in
the year or you can purchase a luxury sample size or our Trial Treasures discovery set to try at home before investing in the full size.

Yes, our body butters are made from natural and organic plant oils and butters, which
can melt in high temperatures. This is perfectly normal due to the ingredients' sensitivity to heat. If your body butter does melt, simply place it in a cool area or refrigerate it for a while to restore its firmness. The melting does not affect the product's quality or effectiveness. Keep the product in a cool, dry place to avoid this issue.

All of our products display either a PAO (Period After Opening symbol which tells you the number of months the product is good for once it is opened) or a Best Before symbol (which shows the “Best Used By” date). Depending on the product, this ranges between 12- 36 months from point of manufacture. To ensure this shelf-life, and to keep products fresh, we recommend storing in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.

Alongside UK and EU regulations, each and every product formulation is carefully safety
assessed by an external chemist before we make it available to you. We manufacture in a lab that complies with good manufacturing practice (GMP) and every product is logged and tracked on open UK portals.
